Scope: Closure of a 14 AC ash pond  including clearing, erosion control, earthwork/ash grading (104,000 CY), PVC Liner and geotextile installation, soil cover (42,000 CY), storm drainage, riprap and erosion matting slope protection, access road and seeding.

Location: St. Paul, Virginia

Scope: Clearing & grubbing (375 AC), erosion control, mine grouting (53,000 CY), earthwork (8,300,000 CY), PVC underdrain (4,000 LF), subbase (92,000 CY), cell geosynthetic Lining System-PVC (103 AC), protective cover (206,000 CY), PVC leachate collection pipe (24,000 LF), HDPE pipe (2,900 LF), channel lining (concrete, fabriform, riprap, and matting), 24”- 90” storm drain (2,500 LF),  roadway construction, leachate pond geosynthetic lining system- HDPE (7 AC) and guardrail.

 


 

Project: Ottumwa Midland Landfill Phase 1 Liner

Scope: Clearing & grubbing (15 AC), erosion control, earthwork (1,100,000 CY), HDPE underdrain (1,500 LF), HDPE leachate collection pipe (1,000 LF), leachate vault (including pump, controls, and electical), triple 36" HDPE stormwater management feature, wetland and stream mitigation.

Scope: Clearing & grubbing (160 AC), erosion control, mine grouting (30,000 CY), wetland construction, well abandonment and installation (4,200 LF), earthwork (4,500,000 million CY), PVC underdrain (8,000 LF), subbase (45,000 CY), cell geosynthetic Lining System-PVC (65 AC), protective cover (130,000 CY), leachate collection pipe (12,000 LF), channel lining (concrete, acb, fabriform, riprap, and matting), storm drain (3,000 LF), forcemain (3,800 LF), roadway construction, leachate pond geosynthetic lining system- HDPE (3 AC), fence and guardrail.

 


 

Project: Clover Power Station Stage 3, Phase 1 Closure

Location: Clover, Virginia

Scope: 30 AC ash cell closure including borrow area clearing and grubbing, erosion control, geosynthetic liner system, cover soil placement (88,000 CY), bench and toe drain installation (16,000 LF), articulated block downchute channels, access road and culvert installation, finish grading, seeding and erosion matting.

 


 

Project: Domtar Landfill No. 3 Phase 1A & 1B Closure – Cells 3 and 4 Construction

Location: Plymouth, North Carolina

Customer: Domtar Paper Co.

Engineer: RMT Inc.

Scope: 14 AC landfill closure including erosion control, waste excavation, gas vent piping, GCL, 40 mil LLDPE geomembrane, geocomposite, cover soil placement, perimeter drainage channels, bench drainage and downslope piping, seeding, and erosion matting. New 8 AC cell construction including erosion control, clearing and grubbing, earthwork (42,000 CY), GCL, 60 mil HDPE geomembrane, 32 oz. geocushion, stone (23,000 TN) and sand (11,000 TN) drainage layers, leachate collection piping (2,000 LF), leachate forcemain and pump station, topsoil placement, seeding and access road construction.

 


 

Project: DE Karn Landfill Closure

Location: Essexville, MI

Customer: Consumers Energy - Jackson

Engineer: Arcadis C&M of Michigan

Scope: 11 AC ash pond closures of two existing ponds including clearing, erosion control, existing ash grading (approximately 60,000 CY), 60 mil HDPE geomembrane, storm drainage, riprap and erosion matting slope protection, access road and seeding.

 


 

Project: Mirant Westland Ash Storage Cell B1-A and Cell B1-B

Location: Dickerson, Maryland

Customer: Mirant Corp.

Scope: New 8 AC ash cell including clearing and grubbing, erosion control, excavation (29,300 CY), geosynthetic clay liner, 60 mil HDPE liner, 16 oz. geocushion, bottom ash leachate collection layer (16,000 CY), and leachate collection piping (3,200 LF). New 6 AC ash cell including clearing and grubbing, erosion control, excavation (12,000 CY), geosynthetic clay liner, 60 mil HDPE liner, 16 oz. geocushion, furnish and place leachate collection stone (15,000 CY), leachate collection piping (2,700 LF), fabricform ditch lining (16,500 SF), seeding, and access road construction.  

 


 

Project: J. H. Campbell Cell 4 Completion

Location: West Olive, Michigan

Customer: Consumers Energy

Scope: New 18 AC cell including excavation (40,000 CY), screening ash for subgrade bedding layer, geomembrane liner (six layers of geosythetics), leachate collection layer (30,000 CY), leachate collection piping (6,000 LF), forcemain and sideslope vault, restoration and landscaping.

 


 

Project: J. H. Campbell Power Plant Final Cover

Location: West Olive, Michigan

Customer: Consumers Energy

Scope: Capping of a 12 AC cell consisting of screened bottom ash used for protective and bedding layers (60,000 CY), geomembrane liner, stormwater piping (3,000 LF), concrete and rock spillways, roadway (1,000 LF), topsoil (10,000 CY) and seeding.
